Our Activities
The Jackson In Action 83 Foundation creates tools (books, computer programs aps, tapes, games, comics or videos) to facilitate the communication between deployed parents and their children. These tools encourage communication and bonding via phone, internet, Skype, letter writing and other multi-media platforms.
The Jackson In Action 83 Foundation provides grants which are to be used for research and development as well as leadership and training, all aimed to help the communication between children and their deployed parents. These grants will encourage researchers to look for ways of best practices in preventing discipline problems, obesity, and educational challenges in children of deployed families.
The Jackson In Action 83 Foundation organizes fundraising events such as dinners, golf tournaments, football camps, fitness activities and other events in order to publicize our efforts, allow public participation in the foundation’s mission and to provide increased resources to families of deployed troops.
The Jackson In Action 83 Foundation solicits contributions from the general public both online and in the mail through fundraising campaigns, annual/workplace/planned giving, gifts, donations, stocks and other activities.
