2018 Salute to Scholars Selected

The Jackson in Action 83 Foundation has selected four recipients for the 2018 Salute to Scholars program. Through the program, four graduating high school seniors who are dependents of an active duty, retired, or deceased member of the military will receive a scholarship to be used toward their secondary education. Scholarship recipients may be attending a four-year university, vocational school, or community college. Students attending any of the service academies were not eligible to apply. The Jackson in Action 83 Foundation has previously awarded a total of $21,500 in scholarship funds through the Salute to Scholars Program.

Two scholarship recipients will receive $2,500 each, one from Hillsborough or Pinellas County and one from Vincent Jackson’s alma mater, Widefield High School in Colorado Springs. Additionally, a $1,000 and $500 scholarship will be awarded to two students in the Tampa Bay area. Once recipients have been notified of their selection, we will announce them here.
