2017 Salute to Scholars Application Now Available

The Jackson in Action 83 Foundation has opened its annual application period for the 2017 Salute to Scholars program. Through the program, two graduating high school seniors who are dependents of an active duty, retired, or deceased member of the military will each receive a $2,500 scholarship to be used toward their secondary education. Scholarship recipients may be attending a four-year university, vocational school, or community college. Students attending any of the service academies are not eligible to apply. The Jackson in Action 83 Foundation has previously awarded a total of $12,500 in scholarship funds through the Salute to Scholars Program.

Applications are due NO LATER than April 15, 2017. Two scholarship recipients will be selected, one from Hillsborough and Pinellas County and one from Vincent Jackson’s alma mater, Widefield High School in Colorado Springs.
