Inaugural Gasparilla Armed Forces Kickball Tournament Raises Money for Local Charities, including JIA83
On Sat., Feb. 7th, the White Hat Association and the CENTCOM Family Activities Association are partnering to present the first-ever Armed Forces Kickball Tournament as part of the annual Gasparilla festivities in Tampa. Funds raised at the event through sponsorships and donations will benefit the Jackson in Action 83 Foundation, America’s Fund, Hounds & Heroes, and CENTCOM Family Activities Association. The White Hat Association is a private organization registered with MacDill Air Force Base that is a group of Junior Active Duty Enlisted Sailors whose mission is to make a positive impact in their local community. The CENTCOM Family Activities Association is a certified 501(c)(19) tax-exempt organization. The tournament will consist of teams representing each branch of our Armed Forces. Each team will be comprised of 20 players with the majority of the participants being active duty military personnel currently stationed in the Tampa Bay area.
The event has been endorsed by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and EventFest as an official Gasparilla event. The event will be held on February 7th starting at 10:00am in Gadsden Park on S.
