Vincent Jackson Named Salute to Service Award Finalist

Jackson Named One of Two Finalists for Prestigious Award

On Wednesday, January 21, the NFL and USAA named Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson and Chicago Bears DE Jared Allen the two finalists for the annual Salute to Service Award. Presented by USAA, the official military appreciation sponsor of the NFL, the award recognizes annually an NFL coach, active or retired player, or team personnel member who demonstrates a commitment to supporting members of the military through charitable efforts. The winner of the Salute to Service Award will be announced on Saturday, January 31 during the 4th Annual NFL Honors awards show on NBC. USAA will donate $25,000 in the winner’s name to official aid societies representing all five branches of the Armed Forces.
